La Paz
Mexico is situated in the northern region of the American continent linking the Gulf of Mexico on the east and the Pacific Ocean on the west. It is encircled by the United States on the north and by Guatemala and Belize on the south and is divided into six tourist regions. These regions are Northern Mexico, Central Mexico, Southern Mexico, The Yucatan Peninsula, The Pacific Coast and The Baja California Peninsula.
La Paz is one of the popular tourist destinations of Mexico and is the heavenly capital of the state of Baja California Sur. Regarded as the main city of the southeastern Baja California Peninsula region, La Paz is located 220 kilometers to the north of Los Cabos and 1464 kilometers to the south of Tijuana. The average year-round temperature here is 24 degree Celsius.
Loaded with a wide array of natural attractions, La Paz has beautiful islands of Espiritu Santo and Cerralvo, which are ideal places for scuba diving. While scuba diving you can see marine species like hammerhead sharks and giant manta rays. The city also offers many peaceful places for camping or ecotourism outings, including Puerto Balandra and the Sierra de La Laguna Biosphere Reserve. Along the coast one can also see fabulous marinas with excellent facilities. The marinas host prestigious sporting events like the Bisbee’s Sport fishing Tournament.
At La Paz, one can also enjoy many important edifices of historical and cultural importance, such as the Catedral de Nuestra Senora de la Paz, the Natural History Museum and Las Californias Library.
