Accommodation Price Comparison

Mexico is situated in the northern region of the American continent linking the Gulf of Mexico on the east and the Pacific Ocean on the west. It is encircled by the United States on the north and by Guatemala and Belize on the south and is divided into six tourist regions. These regions are Northern Mexico, Central Mexico, Southern Mexico, The Yucatan Peninsula, The Pacific Coast and The Baja California Peninsula.
Puerto Penasco, a heavenly bay on the northwest coast of the Sea of Cortez, is located in the state of Sonora. The average year-round temperature is 20 degree Celsius and the climate is warm and dry, with rainfall in the winter.
This destination offers a perfect combination of natural beauty, excellent tourism facilities and well-developed ecological programs. In the environs one will find vast natural areas like the Pinacate Biosphere Reserve and the Gran Desierto de Altar. Visitors head to these places to do research on indigenous animal species such as the mule deer and the bighorn sheep, while others go to enjoy various outdoor recreational activities, including sandboarding, mountain climbing and hunting. The bay area also allows tourists to do diverse aquatic sports, such as scuba diving and fishing at such places as Isla San Jorge. Off the coast of this rocky island one can spy a wide array of marine species, including sea lions, dolphins and harbor porpoises.

One can explore the surrounding areas, from Puerto Penasco to head out the Caborca, Atil and Pitiquito missions and visit other missions founded by legendary Friar Eusebio Kino. The city has three bus terminals owned by lines Albatros, Transportes del Norte and Autobuses de Baja California. There’s also an international airport that receives private flights from various Mexican cities and the United States. This historic city is known for its important agricultural activity and the beautiful architecture of the Templo de la Purisima Concepcion, a mission built at the end of 18th century.
