Tijuana
Mexico is situated in the northern region of the American continent linking the Gulf of Mexico on the east and the Pacific Ocean on the west. It is encircled by the United States on the north and by Guatemala and Belize on the south and is divided into six tourist regions. Tijuana is a prosperous city on Mexico’s northern border, lies on the northwestern end of the Baja California Peninsula, 189 kilometers west of Mexicali and 29 kilometers south of San Diego, California. The climate is hot, with an average temperature of 21º centigrade. This modern city, known as a significant center for art, history and culture, hosts several artistic and culinary festivals, such as the Muestra Internacional de Danza, International Dance Festival, which draws important figures in dance and music.
In the city’s environs, you will find nature areas like the Laguna Salada and the Canon de Guadalupe, which offer great places for camping.
